About Intro to Judaism Online
A welcoming and safe place for exploration
Our course reflects the approach of North American Reform Judaism and is taught by Reform rabbis, cantors, and Jewish educators. Outstanding and experienced faculty encourage students to raise questions and engage deeply and personally.
Learn about Judaism's core beliefs, sacred texts, history, celebrations, the diversity of the Jewish people, and more.
We seek to affirm students of all backgrounds including LGBTQ+, people of Color, and other unrepresented groups.
Engage with Jewish values, celebrations, and spirituality.
Ask questions and discover multiple perspectives.
Open to all, this course is designed for interfaith couples, adults raising Jewish children, spiritual seekers, individuals considering conversion, and Jews who want a meaningful adult Jewish learning experience.
URJ's Intro to Judaism online classes meet on Zoom, with closed captioning.
Participation requires a webcam, high-speed internet access, and a computer.
The URJ offers tiered pricing and payment plans to all students, and discounted tuition for those who need. Tuition starts at $595 USD.
