There are so many factors that affect our children’s mental health and self-esteem. We can’t control them all, but the actions we take at home can help mitigate potential negative impact.

Parenting Jewishly encourages us to make space for our child, affirming their uniqueness and ensuring they feel a sense of belonging. Sometimes it can feel difficult to parent the child that’s actually in front of us!

Dr. Traci Baxley is a professor, consultant, parenting coach, speaker, mother of five, and the founder of Social Justice Parenting. In this virtual conversation, she’ll explore how intentional efforts to create affirming spaces can impact children's understanding of agency, advocacy, and action.

She will offer actionable ways to create safe spaces in your home that will guide your children to become "space-makers" in the world.
